Second best Auburn football opposing player left in ’21: Ole Miss QB Matt Corral
Matt Corral does such a good job managing the game, and is spectacular but mistake-free in pacing the offense.
He threw his first interception last night against Tennessee after throwing 14 touchdowns through six and a half weeks of football. He also collected over 400 all-purpose yards with both his cannon of a right arm and his feet, which may be running to the bank to deposit monster NFL checks one day. I know everyone gets direct deposit, by the way, but just go with it.
Corral was picked off twice last year when playing the Tigers at home in Oxford. He only collected 154 yards and was 16/27 through the air.
But this year’s version under Lane Kiffin is a whole new beast.
Corral is the best quarterback that Auburn will play all year, and he has a case to be called the best signal-caller in the country considering Malik Willis’ struggles today against the University of Louisiana-Monroe in a 31-28 loss for Liberty. Three picks against ULM may just disqualify him from such a title.
