It was prevalent in the aftermath of their Week 7 victory over Arkansas, and it reared its ugly head during last night’s 31-20 win over Ole Miss. The phantom Auburn football refereeing advantage talk is back.

And it doesn’t hold a milliliter of water.

Auburn was wire-to-wire dominant under the Jordan-Hare Stadium lights, flashing proficiency offensively with a 22/30 passing, three all-purpose TD Bo Nix night, and a 140-yard (w/ a rushing TD) rushing performance from Tank Bigsby.

Derek Mason’s defense kept Matt Corral and the Rebels offense to just 20 points despite 464 yards of offense. Lane Kiffin’s gutsy fourth-down calls against a physical defensive front led by Zakoby McClain (10 tackles, four assisted, two sacks) were often Ole Miss’ undoing.

Jaylin Simpson’s INT of Corral in the Auburn end zone with 9:26 left in the fourth quarter was the needed dagger that put down the Rebels for god.

Of course, accountability wasn’t sought by all of the members of the Ole Miss fanbase. Just like what has become customary with Arkansas fans, the ol’ referee rhetoric was recklessly thrown out to explain away the loss:

And there the Auburn family was to shut that down:

If the fix is in for any team, it is most surely not Auburn football. Refer to Week 3 in Beaver Stadium and the targeting call on Zakoby McClain as proof.
