Auburn football QB Bo Nix is a family man. We think.

Nix tweeted out that he believed the answer to the question of who Alabama’s Mr. Football 2021 should be–posed by AL.com’s high school sports Twitter page–was an easy one.

And we think he was talking about his younger brother Caleb Nix, who is the current starter for Central High School in Phenix City:

The younger Nix has had an impressive season through the air, as AL.com’s Ben Thomas pointed out:

"Caleb Nix, QB, Central-Phenix City: The senior has Central unbeaten heading into he second round of the 7A playoffs. He has completed 63 percent of his passes for 2,388 yards and 33 TDs."

That said, Caleb’s high school career hasn’t led to any Power Five offers. He has standing offers from two Group of Five teams from the Sun Belt (Troy, Louisiana-Monroe) and three FCS schools (Samford, Austin Peay, Dartmouth) so far.

Nix also visited UCF:

But so far no offer has resulted coming from Bo’s former head coach Gus Malzahn, now in charge of the Knights.

There’s an outside chance that Bo Nix was actually referring to someone else, though. Perhaps a future Tiger and potential teammate in Omari Kelly, whose versatility was noted by Thomas in his write-up of the WR commit:

"Omari Kelly, WR, Hewitt-Trussville: The Auburn commit will have a big stage this week at No. 1 Hoover. He already has 70 receptions for 1,107 yards and 10 TDs. He also has rushed 15 times for 106 yards and a TD."

The Auburn football QB was ambiguous enough to make the post one worth speculating over whether he was talking about the Nix family or the Auburn family.
