4-star offensive tackle Malik Agbo has become one of the top offensive targets for Auburn football recruiting as the early signing period approaches, and this weekend he’ll take his first official visit to the Plains as the Tigers gear up to host the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

A native of Federal Way, Washington, this weekend will be Agbo’s first-ever visit to Auburn, and he told Chad Simmons of On3 Sports that he was most excited to witness the in-game atmosphere and meet with the Tigers’ coaching staff.

Agbo will officially commit on December 15, the first day of the early signing period, so this visit could be instrumental in convincing him to choose Auburn football. He’s taken official visits to Miami, Texas, and Oklahoma, and he’ll also visit Florida before making his final decision.

According to Agbo’s high school football coach, the Tigers have turned up the heat and are recruiting the 4-star prospect hard:

"“I think first and foremost, the tradition there. It’s the SEC. It’s Auburn. Bo Jackson,” Leamer said. “It starts with tradition, the history and then what kind of system, what kind of relationship does he build with someone. With him, it wasn’t always the biggest names (that stood out). It was about what coaches he could develop a relationship with. Who the offensive line coach is, what the scheme is, what do they do, what are their workouts like? He looks at all that.”"

Current commits from Auburn football’s recruiting class of 2022 have made it clear that they want Agbo to join them in Jordan-Hare next season. Damari Alston, Holden Geriner, Drew Bobo, and more recruits have reached out to Agbo on Twitter trying to convince him to come home to the Plains.

With the right kind of input from Auburn football coaches, players, and recruits, it’s possible that this official visit could seal the deal for Malik Agbo and we could have another commit on the roster by December.
