Auburn football potential bowl opponent #4: Clemson

After the Tigers of northwestern South Carolina started off the season with three losses in their first seven games and three narrow conference wins, many pundits wrote their season off as a sunk cost following years of dominance with Trevor Lawrence under center.

Now, Clemson has a chance to upset the top dog of the ACC Atlantic in Wake Forest at home and then potentially follow the Plains’ Tigers lead and march to Columbia to put down the Gamecocks.

A low ranking could be possible to end the season if the Tigers aren’t in the ACC title game, but even if they finish with seven wins, a date with Auburn could be in the cards in the Gator Bowl or Duke’s Mayo Bowl.

Auburn football potential bowl opponent #5: Louisville

Louisville has played an SEC school six of the past seven years they have been bowl eligible. This year’s squad has a date with Duke left on the docket and sit at five wins, so bowl eligibility seems well within reason at this point.

Should the Cardinals and Tigers tussle, it’d mark the third time the two teams would have played. Auburn is undefeated against Louisville.
