#2 projected Auburn football bowl opponent: Wake Forest

While the Tigers secondary would be seriously tested, there’s no doubt that a matchup against the Demon Deacons would be a highly explosive matchup with a Wake Forest squad that still has College Football Playoff hopes as we speak.

Should Wake knock off Clemson this weekend and take care of the ACC Atlantic’s current last place squad, Boston College, those dreams may still be alive. If not, though, Auburn would have its hands full with Sam Hartman and the #7 offense in the country this season in total yardage.

#1 projected Auburn football bowl opponent: Clemson

Simply put, a battle between the Tigers of the Plains and those of northwestern South Carolina would make whatever non-NY6 bowl game Auburn takes part in a much bigger event.

As one of the most passionate fanbases in the country, Clemson’s faithful would bring it to whatever southern bowl they end up opposite AU in.

As for the game itself, Derek Mason’s defense could make a huge season-ending statement by dominating D.J.Uiagalelei and put himself in the conversation for a head coaching job opening.
