Auburn football can’t possibly lose three straight SEC games in November after a 6-2 start to the season that had them knocking on the door of a top 10 College Football Playoff ranking, right?

Right?!

The Tigers travel to South Carolina tonight to take on the Gamecocks at Williams-Brice Stadium in a rematch of one of their four regular-season losses during an SEC-only 2020 slate.

Do they avoid the upset for the second straight year or is the TJ Finley era on the Plains bound to start off on the wrong foot?

Let’s take a look at the Auburn football betting lines, odds, and TV information while laying a few predictions on the line (all lines courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook):

South Carolina vs. Auburn Pick and Prediction

This game is going to have a ton of unknowns heading into it, but the #1 unknown is how TJ Finley is going to handle his first full game under center.

We saw in flashes against Georgia State that Finley has the wherewithal in the pocket to avoid the pressure and get the ball off or scramble for positive yardage on occasion. We’ve also seen in spurts against LSU and against Mississippi State this past Saturday that Finley could at times be overwhelmed and underthrow darts at the feet of receivers.

Which Finley shows up to play will be pivotal. The State expects Finley to air it out plenty, and the Gamecocks defense will surely look to save face and contain Tank Bigsby, Jarquez Hunter, and Shaun Shivers after ceding 209 yards and a touchdown to Tyler Badie last week.

Unless Finley is on his A-Game, this could be a low-scoring affair considering the Gamecocks have eclipsed 30 points on the season just one time against FBS opponents and AU DC Derek Mason has a target on his back after his defense ceded 43 points in 32 minutes.

Pick: 45u (-110)
