Auburn football WR transfer portal target #2: Theo Wease, Oklahoma

Theo Wease missed most of the 2021 season, but in a pandemic-shortened 2020 season, he was the Reggie Wayne to Marvin Mim’s Marvin Harrison.

Wease lagged behind in touchdowns, by a wide margin might I add, as well as receiving yards. He tied Mims in catches, though, and still ended up with 530 yards and four touchdowns on 37 receptions.

The Tigers were one of many–and I mean many–teams interested in the Allen, Texas product back during his initial recruitment, and were his second to last offer before he committed to Oklahoma.

Well, as we know, Lincoln Riley didn’t commit to him, his teammates, future recruits, or the entire Sooner State, so now Wease hits the market with a chance to be the #1 option on the Plains with Demetris Robertson wrapping up his collegiate career in 2021 and no other talent on the current current roster that comes even close talent-wise.

Bryan Harsin and Eric Kiesau ought to get on the phone with the young man ASAP in order to start forming a pitch to Bo Nix not to transfer.
