The coaching carousel continues to turn as the Carolina Panthers fire offensive coordinator Joe Brady and Auburn football fans discuss bringing him in to replace Mike Bobo. Though names like Zach Kittley and Dell McGee have been thrown in the hat, the Tigers have yet to confirm an official taker for the position.

Joe Brady joined the Panthers last year after spending 2019 as LSU’s passing game coordinator for their championship team, and 247 Sports reports that his name has been mentioned several times this year already in relation to open coaching positions. With experience in playcalling and in the nation’s most elite conference, could Brady be the right guy for Auburn football?

To be fair, Brady did have an insane weapon in Joe Burrow when he coached at LSU, but the Bayou Bengals’ total offense ranked No. 1 in the country as well as No. 2 in passing that year. They averaged 568.4 total yards per game and 401.6 passing yards per game.

With an offensive coordinator vacancy on the staff and an offense that is in obvious need of some turnaround, Auburn football fans seem to like the idea of Joe Brady on the Plains:

Though it seems likely that Joe Brady will not return to coaching college ball after spending so much time in the NFL, it would be incredibly interesting to see him work with a senior Bo Nix. Nevertheless, the hunt for OC continues…
