With Nebraska and Auburn basketball squaring off in the same arena he played in the night before, Kevin Durant decided to check out some Holiday Hoopsgiving action at the State Farm Arena on Saturday morning.

The Brooklyn Nets star–widely regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation, though marred slightly by his decision to win his titles with an established Golden State Warriors super team–caught the matinee drubbing (and easy spread cover) of the Cornhuskers by a Tigers team that showed out with the former NBA MVP in attendance.

AU took a 99-68 decision off the strength of a 21-point, five-rebound, four-assist outing from a man many refer to as “the next Kevin Durant”, future NBA lottery pick Jabari Smith.

He wasn’t the only Tiger to show out, though. Wendell Green went off for 19 points, six rebounds, and six assists…including one off-the-glass lob to Jabari Smith that had everyone in attendance on their feet.

Devan Cambridge provided his usual at-the-rim fireworks and K.D. Johnson sliced to the rim effectively in on-brand fashion.

It was a day where everyone showed out, and today, the Auburn basketball Twitter account showed out with a hilarious way to frame yesterday’s guests of honor from the Brooklyn Nets:

That inspired some spirited (and quite varied) responses from the Auburn family:

Adam Harrington is currently a Brooklyn Nets assistant, starting in the role back in 2016. As a player, he was in the NBA for two years, coincidentally playing alongside Steve Nash with the Dallas Mavericks.

He catches the shout-out from the Tiger hoops Twitter account because his final two years of college ball were played on the Plains. Harrington transferred from NC State and upped his scoring average to 15.5 points in his junior year with Auburn.
