Bruce Pearl is back as the acting head coach of Auburn basketball after a two-game suspension. The Tigers went 2-0 during that stretch, picking up two 25+ point victories over Nebraska at the Holiday Hoopsgiving event in Atlanta and against North Alabama at the Auburn Arena.
Wes Flanigan oversaw the 31-point victory over the Cornhuskers and Steven Pearl was in charge for a 26-point win against the Lions.
AU rolls into this one having won their last five games by double digits. Will the winning continue tonight at the Chaifetz Arena?

St. Louis vs. Auburn Pick and Prediction
As evidenced by the spread, the Billikens are far from a pushover. St. Louis’ most recent win was of the double-digit variety over Boston College, and they also own a victory over Boise State.
Javonte Perkins’ absence for STL has not had the damning effect it could have had given the rise of Gibson Jimerson and Yuri Collins in the starting lineup. Jimerson has poured in a team-high 16.7 points per game while converting on 40% of his 3-pointers. Collins’ eight assists per game have set the table for the Billikens.
Is that enough, though? St. Louis rebounds the ball well enough to be the #60th ranked in the nation in that category, but they will be going up against a front-line that’s far from vertically challenged. Jabari Smith has played his way into the projected #1 pick and Walker Kessler has come into his own of late, grabbing 7.7 boards per game in his last four games.
The Tigers are just too hot right now not to take at just -5.5.
