Oregon and Auburn football fans agree with Matt Miller’s shot at Bo Nix
Matt Miller pulled a total of zero punches when discussing how Caleb Williams’ decision to transfer could affect Oregon and their new QB transfer, former Auburn football signal-caller Bo Nix.
Miller doesn’t believe that Nix represents any reasoning for why the Ducks shouldn’t pursue Williams, and why Williams shouldn’t likewise try to start under center in Eugene in 2022 and beyond.
He tweeted as much on Monday afternoon shortly after Williams made his intentions to potentially–and we say potentially because he left the door open for a return to Oklahoma–find a new home in the transfer portal.
Oregon fans were seemingly on the same page as the ESPN NFL scout, minus a few aggressive Duck defenders:
And, of course, many Tiger fans were on the same wavelength:
Auburn football transfer Bo Nix isn’t guaranteed to start for Oregon, Caleb Williams or not.
Our friends over at Autzen Zoo aren’t even sure that Bo Nix will start for the Ducks next season:
"Nix is an experienced quarterback who’s only going to boost the position as a whole and will push Ty Thompson to be better, but I don’t think he should be a lock to start in 2022."
Connor Muldowney doubts what Nix could do, giving Miller and many others more company. Fly War Eagle believes the 5-star dual-threat will have a far easier time in the Pac-12 and could end up being the best QB in the conference. We’re certainly higher on the Pinson product than most.
Regardless of any Nix conjecture that exists in the present, we’ll see this spring if Nix is truly not the kind of competition anyone should be afraid of in a Power Five QB room.
