Auburn basketball is having a fantastic season with only one loss under their belt and 15 wins so far. With 12 wins straight, that means that 12 different teams have had to deal with the uproar in the comments section of their final score post.

By now, teams know that it’s coming and expect to be flooded with deep-fried memes if their team loses to the Tigers, and while there’s not a lot they can do about it, most teams are good sports about letting it happen. However, there’s always that one, and in Auburn basketball’s case, it was Murray State.

The Tigers took on the Racers at Auburn Arena on December 22, and both Wendell Green Jr. and Jabari Smith Jr. collected double-doubles in the 71-58 victory. Auburn basketball fans went in on Murray State’s final score post, spamming them with memes only to have the final score post get deleted from the timeline. Naturally, fans were not keen to just let it go.

Since December 22, Auburn Twitter has replied to nearly every post made by Murray State in an effort to get them to post the final score tweet. When the Racers’ media team began blocking users from interacting with the basketball page, Auburn fans moved on to the Murray State Sports account and the Murray State Tickets account.

But now, the feud has finally ended. Alabama native and Murray State guard Tevin Brown took things into his own hands and posted a final score tweet from his own account in an effort to end in the madness:

The result? All Auburn basketball fans are now Tevin Brown fans. Brown, who was recently named to the Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watchlist and dropped 22 points against the Tigers, has officially earned the respect of Auburn Twitter and has gained a whole new army of fans.

Unless Auburn basketball faces Murray State in the tournament, there will be no more spamming of the MSU Twitter accounts, all thanks to Tevin Brown. In a gesture of thanks, Auburn Twitter has pledged to go after the Racers’ next opponent, Tennessee State.
