While Auburn football has picked up multiple defensive transfers during the offseason, not much has happened on the offensive side. Of course, when most of your starting offensive linemen return for another season you can’t expect OL transfers to flock to your school.

However, there’s no doubt that the O-line needs a serious boost in recruiting. Will Friend’s position group has only one new member signed in the recruiting class of 2022 in Auburn High alum Eston Harris Jr.

With top target Mason Brooks leaning dangerously close to a Texas Tech commitment and the Tigers falling out of the race for UL transfer O’Cyrus Torrence, two new names have sprung onto Auburn football’s radar.

The first is Eleasah Anderson, a former Baylor and Sam Houston State offensive lineman that entered the transfer portal on January 14 as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility left. Since entering the portal, Anderson has received offers from Jackson State, Austin Peay, Alabama A&M, and Delaware, among others.

Auburn Live reports that Anderson has heard from Auburn offensive line coach Will Friend, but the OL has not posted any news yet about an offer from the Tigers.

The next OL to track in the transfer portal is former Vanderbilt OL Tyler Steen. A three-year starter at Vandy, it’s very possible that Steen’s ties to Derek Mason get him down on the Plains. Steen redshirted in 2018, then played both left and right tackle for the Commodores.

The OL was named to the Athlon Sports Pre-Season fourth-team All-SEC and could potentially make it in the pros, according to Saturdays Down South:

"He struggled at times on the left side but played well on the right and could be a late-round NFL Draft prospect down the line at guard or right tackle."

Though Auburn football will not be giving up on Mason Brooks and are pushing hard for Cornell transfer Hunter Nourzad, these are two transfer portal OLs to keep an eye on.
