If by the end of all this Bryan Harsin drama it is found that the Auburn football coach has been wronged, Tiger fans ought to appreciate this man for what he is willing to go through just to remain the head football coach on the Plains.

The allegations against Harsin have been covered at length at every corner of the Auburn universe, but they still haven’t resulted in his dismissal. The longer this gets drawn out, the less likely the Tigers will be able to find a replacement in time to right the wrongs that have resulted on the recruiting trail. Losing so much coaching personnel has resulted in transfers from the program, and it’s unlikely a replacement would arrive and recoup those losses right away.

It’d take years for the program to rebuild after barely getting past the coaching change in 2020/21.

As things stand, Harsin is still here. And he’s acting as though he will remain as head coach of Auburn football. The Tigers’ sidelines leader will be present in Birmingham for the annual SEC coaches meeting on Thursday:

This Harsin saga is quite confusing to follow. While guys like Joseph Goodman of AL.com continue to claim that the end is near for Harsin’s time with Auburn, he continues to receive support from key players and now he will be representing the team in front of the rest of the conference’s head coaches.

One has to wonder what Harsin will share with other coaches that he went to war with this last season. I’m sure he’d agree that the Auburn Board of Trustees is probably his most intense foe so far in his SEC career.
