Dale Harsin, the father of Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin, appears to have called into The Paul Finebaum Show to defend his son.
Can’t knock him if he did. It’s not as though the head coaching situation can appear any worse on a national stage.
For the second straight year, the football program on the Plains is one that is marred by meddling from the Auburn Board of Trustees, causing internal drama to be leaked in order to get their way with personnel decisions.
Harsin appears to be budding heads in a way that already has the school looking for ways to make his tenure a short one, though the longer this drags out, the less likely it appears that Harsin will be fired. Especially after Harsin made it to the annual SEC coaches meeting in Birmingham. AL.com seems sold, but Joseph Goodman isn’t exactly Harsin’s biggest fan.
Auburn fans took to Twitter to react to the possibility that it was indeed Dale Harsin that called into The Paul Finebaum Show:
My question was posed out of genuine curiosity. I have since listened to both the Finebaum clip and a previous news clip from a few years ago. In my professional opinion as an amateur voice analyzer that Dale Harsin (father of Bryan) did, in fact, call into the Finebaum show. https://t.co/it1MTic2LB pic.twitter.com/TWTAV7s6e5

Because we are living in a complete simulation that goes beyond all parody, Bryan Harsin's dad called into finebaum yesterday. "Dale from Boise."

You cannot make this up.
Incredible. #Auburn #auburnfootball
Dale Harsin (Coach Harsin’s Dad) calling into @finebaum to talk up his son was pretty bold. #auburn #harsin

Never a dull moment on the Plains when it comes to Auburn football. Never.
