After nearly two weeks of rumors, speculation, and back and forth, it was finally confirmed on Friday that Bryan Harsin will indeed remain the head coach of Auburn football for the 2022 season. Despite all the naysayers and the personal attacks, Coach Harsin stood strong with the support of his players and the Auburn family.
But what comes next? Spring practice is right around the corner, and Auburn football is still without an offensive coordinator after newly-hired Austin Davis resigned from his position just 43 days after taking the job. Now, with a five-way quarterback competition scheduled for the spring, Harsin will have to find a new offensive coordinator quickly.
Most people believe that the best way for Harsin to get out of this rut and be successful on the Plains is for him to hire an all-star recruiter to help add talent to the roster. Fans already have someone in mind in former Auburn football player and current Texas A&M staffer Dameyune Craig:
I wish Auburn would go after Dameyune Craig because he is known to be a great recruiter he is just what Auburn needs https://t.co/16xZJXZrt2

Not only has Dameyune Craig had experience in an Auburn uniform, but he’s also had experience as Auburn football’s offensive coordinator. From 2013-2015, Craig was the Tigers’ co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach before leaving the Plains for LSU. Since 2018, Craig has been at Texas A&M as the wide receivers coach and was credited this year as one of 247 Sports’ Top 25 recruiters in college football for helping land two 5-stars and a 4-star in the Aggies’ number one ranked class.
With his deep Auburn roots and his recruiting prowess, there’s no doubt Dameyune Craig would make a great addition to Bryan Harsin’s staff.
