On Wednesday night, Auburn basketball looks to continue to make a case to be a #1 seed in the upcoming March Madness tournament while also aiming to separate themselves from the rest of the SEC for their fifth regular-season SEC Championship in program history when they host the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Unlike on the gridiron, Vanderbilt sits in the middle of the pack in the conference. The Commodores are coming off of a loss to the Tennessee Volunteers but had won their previous two games (Mizzou, LSU) before that.
Does Vanderbilt have a chance to beat the SEC’s other Tigers, or is Auburn going to avoid a second loss in as many weeks?
Fly War Eagle has the odds, line, and TV Channel for the matchup while laying down a prediction:
Auburn basketball vs Vanderbilt Odds: Line, Spread, Over/Under
The #1 Tigers host the 13-11 Vanderbilt Commodores tonight at 9:00 PM EST. WynnBET has the Tigers as 13.5-point favorites and -1100 on the moneyline (bet $110 to win $10) while the over-under is 139.5.
Auburn vs Vanderbilt Prediction
Auburn has been extremely inconsistent of late, scraping by against Georgia and Mizzou before succumbing to Arkansas and then stomping out Texas A&M Midnight Yell Leader style during the AUTLIVE game at the soon-to-be-named Neville Arena this past Saturday.
The key to the loss and close wins in games they were heavily favored was the lack of Zep Jasper. Jasper is back to full health. Lior Berman is also fully healthy, giving Bruce Pearl is entire rotation to work with.
With Walker Kessler blossoming into the SEC’s best defender (and possibly the best defender in the country) and Jabari Smith continuing to showcase his talent for NBA scouts, the Tigers may be back to being a safe pick on the spread. Give me the Tigers -13.5 (-110).
