Who whipped out the salt shaker for their handfuls, Auburn football fans?
We got a wildly-crafted kerfuffle on the Paul Finebaum show to chew over.
Former LSU head coach Ed Orgeron–replaced with a fish-out-of-water in Brian Kelly down on the Bayou–had his name evoked on the SEC Network host’s radio show.
Tiger fans had a wildly varied response to the (exaggerated air quotes) rumor that is harder to digest than gas station boudin:
We have a live @finebaum caller saying Coach O is going to be the next Auburn coach 😂

No, Harsin is the coach and, apparently, isn’t going anywhere for now.

He has won more National Championships than the current Auburn HC--or the previous one for that matter.

You said a live one…not a smart one

Throw away college football if it happened

Orgeron seems like the kind of guy that would jump at the opportunity to play savior in the wake of a disastrous run in Death Valley, but wouldn’t consider a school that he has incited violently oppositional chants about Auburn.
Bryan Harsin definitely appears to be a lame duck considering the events of early February, but give the man a chance.
A couple of close games swing the other way last year and we’re not talking this boldly–and expensively with respect to the buyout figure Auburn football would have to pay–this offseason.
