Auburn football has spent a good chunk of the offseason spending time on the completely wrong endeavors.
Toxic rumors spread from the AU Board of Trustees compromised Bryan Harsin’s integrity and forced him to defend his entire family from a string of slanderous and unfounded claims. For a week straight, Auburn football fans woke up not knowing whether or not they’d be reading about the second head coach firing in as many years.
Now, though, the coaching staff is complete with a WR coach hiring that has fans buzzing all over social media.
Former Florida All-American wideout Ike Hilliard is now in the seat, and the reviews are quite rave:
Auburn has hired former Florida WR Ike Hilliard as its new WR coach. Hilliard was formerly with the Steelers.

Great hire and great recruiter.
Ike Hilliard?!? If you’re an Auburn fan who isn’t excited about this hire, I question your football fan knowledge and intelligence. 😂 Homerun hire!! I might actually be a little excited about football season, but not until after I “sleep in May.”

Auburn football WR coach Ike Hilliard moves the recruiting needle for the Tigers
Hilliard is a Florida Gators legend from Louisiana that can improve the team’s standing with recruits across the south. His track record as a WR coach with four different NFL teams speaks for itself:

Brandon Marshall
Pierre Garçon
Robert Woods
DeSean Jackson
Terry McLaurin
Diontae Johnson
Chase Claypool
JuJu Smith-Schuster
Consider that needle swung all the way in the right direction for the program with this hiring.
