Although Bo Hughley has been firmly committed to the Georgia Bulldogs since September of last year, Auburn football isn’t backing down on their recruitment of the 4-star offensive tackle.

Hughley remains committed to UGA, but whether or not he signs with the Dawgs depends on if he can build a good relationship with the new offensive line coach before December. Hughley had a great relationship with Matt Luke, per Auburn Live, who decided to step down from coaching following the Dawgs’ national championship.

Now, Hughley is planning a third visit with Auburn football after spending time on campus last summer and back in January. He will be on the Plains for the Tigers’ big recruiting event on March 19, when several top recruits are scheduled to be on campus.

Auburn Live reports that Hughley has been forging strong bonds with two of Auburn football’s position coaches in area recruiter Zac Etheridge and offensive line coach Will Friend. Hughley stated he talks with Coach Friend every day, and when asked where Auburn stood in terms of recruitment, the answer was quite positive:

"“I really like Auburn. I’ll be down there on the 19th.”"

In addition to Coach Etheridge and Coach Friend, the Tigers’ assistant offensive line coach Joe Bernardi and head coach Bryan Harsin have joined the push for the 4-star OL as well. Clearly, flipping Bo Hughley is a major goal for Harsin and his staff.

Currently, Hughley is listed on 247 Sports as the #6 offensive tackle in the recruiting class of 2023 and the #5 recruit out of the state of Georgia. The Tigers are pushing hard for offensive linemen in the class of 2023 due to the return of nearly the whole offensive line for the upcoming season.

If Will Friend and Bryan Harsin can continue to bond with 4-star Bo Hughley, they may have a strong flip on their hands for the class of 2023.
