When it comes to the regular-season SEC Championship, Auburn basketball isn’t sharing **** as the Tigers so affectionately put it while dancing on their home floor in the aftermath of a title-clinching victory over South Carolina last Saturday.

That said, nothing has been earned yet in the SEC Tournament and coming in as the bracket’s #1 seed, Auburn most certainly has a target on its back.

The Tigers have a tough test ahead of them in their first tourney matchup against a gritty Texas A&M that has responded well to the annual AUTLIVE game Auburn handled them in this past February. Bruce Pearl’s squad showed out as they always do for the annual charitable event, but since, the Aggies have rattled off six of the following seven games. That includes a 16-point whooping of Alabama at Coleman Coliseum.

AU has lost three times in the last month after losing just once in the first 23 games. That said, could that have been what they needed before embarking on a lengthy March Madness run with the most talented team in school history?

Fly War Eagle has the Odds and TV Channel for the matchup while laying down a prediction for the 11am central ESPN matchup:

Auburn basketball vs Texas A&M Odds: Spread, Over/Under

The #3 Tigers visit the 21-11 Aggies today at 11AM EST on ESPN. WynnBET has the Tigers as 9-point favorites (bet $110 to win $100) while the over-under is set at 140.5.

Auburn vs Texas A&M Prediction

Nine points is a fairly high number for a neutral court matchup between divisional rivals in a Power Five conference, but Las Vegas was clearly valuing the teams’ first matchup when coming up with this number.

FWE tends to believe this one will be more of a nail-biter, and given the early start time, is leaning towards the 140.5 total points under line on this one.
