Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin seems to leave a positive impression on recruits despite the same not being said about those on the AU gridiron beat.

Briarwood Christian’s 4-star signal-caller Christopher Vizzina was complementary of the so-called player unfriendly coach.

Sending that notion out the window a bit in the process.

Ben Thomas of AL.com revealed in his latest updates about the Birmingham area QB:

"He said he talks to Auburn coach Bryan Harsin “all the time.”“He’s texted me every day asking me when I’m going to come up for a visit,” Vizzina said. “I’m excited. I really like him. I’ve gotten to actually talk to him a few times. From what I know, he seems like a great person and a great leader.”"

Despite Tuscaloosa being just an hour away, Alabama hasn’t offered Vizzina, as he revealed to Thomas:

"“They haven’t offered me yet,” Vizzina said. “Pretty much everyone else has but them. I talk to coach (Freddie) Roach all the time. I’m not really sure where their interest level is at this point. I know they are high on (fellow 2023 QB prospect) Arch Manning. I’m not sure where I fit on their board. But I’d love to take a visit there and see what they have to say.”"

Ohio State is the biggest roadblock to Christopher Vizzina being an Auburn football QB

Ohio State seems to have the inside edge when it comes to Vizzina because of Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day’s offense.

Vizzina has a big arm and could be in a system that empowers him in Columbus, Ohio. If he committed to OSU, he’d be slotted in behind C.J. Stroud if he decided on a senior year (over the NFL) in 2023 or Kyle McCord in what would be his junior season.

Perhaps Harsin could make up the ground by continuing to nurture a coach-recruit relationship that is off to a great start.
