Auburn football class of 2022 running back signee Damari Alston has firmly established himself as an AU recruiter among his peers, but his efforts aren’t limited to 2022 prospects. Since he first committed to head coach Bryan Harsin’s program in July of last year, Alston has been all about getting other prospects to the Plains.
Most recently, Alston’s recruiting efforts are being recognized by a linebacker from the running back’s high school Woodward Academy. Myles Graham, a class of 2024 prospect who is currently unranked, announced that he would be visiting Auburn football today.
Graham shared his announcement in a way that spoke to many Auburn fans, employing the use of a deep-fried meme crediting his recruitment to his former teammate:
Immediately, Auburn football fans decided that the young recruit is already “one of us” with the use of the meme.
While Graham is still only a sophomore in high school, he has already received nearly 30 offers from top programs around the country including Texas A&M, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech, among others.
Graham attended Junior Day at Florida State and has unofficially visited Florida, Louisville, and Georgia Tech with plans to visit Ohio State soon. According to Irish Sports Daily, although he hasn’t visited Notre Dame, Graham has been extremely impressed with their recruitment of him so far.
The linebacker has also put up incredible stats with 130 total tackles as a sophomore, including three tackles for loss, one interception, and eight passes deflected, per Max Preps.
New Auburn football linebackers coach Christian Robinson has been loudly praised by his players since arriving on the Plains, and with Damari Alston in Graham’s ear, it’s likely that his visit will put the Tigers high on his list.
