Auburn football and boring are two words Tiger fans take offense to when they are juxtaposed in tandem.

While no one is claiming that Bryan Harsin’s Tigers don’t deserve a verbal lashing here or there for their on-field performance from time to time, the dubious claim of an Auburn game experience being boring lacks legs.

Between Tiger Walk, no less than five stadium-wide cheers, and a freaking live eagle flying from the north end of Jordan-Hare Stadium, the pregame rituals cannot add to a less boring atmosphere on Saturdays. The results on the field have not been ideal, but look an Auburn football fan dead in the eye and tell them that the 2021 Iron Bowl or AU’s first win in Death Valley since 1999 this past season wasn’t enthralling entertainment.

Before you do that, though, don’t, because you’d be wrong and I don’t want that for you.

Tiger fans by and large were having none of the boring slander in response to Auburn Wire sharing TickPick’s tomfoolery:

Auburn football isn’t boring, and that shouldn’t even need to be typed.

I question someone that scans the entire NCAA Division I FBS and comes up with Auburn as one of his or her options when asked who the most boring team is.

Dream on if you think the routinely empty stadiums across the MAC, Pac-12, Mountain West, Sunbelt, Conference USA, AAC, and, let’s be honest, ACC, deserve to be considered more entertaining than the product on the field on the Plains. Even during the darkest hours of the Gus Malzahn era.

Enough of this foolishness.
