This should be nothing new, Auburn football fans. According to ESPN, the Tigers will have the No. 1 strength of schedule in 2022.

With away games against Alabama, Georgia, and Ole Miss, and hosting the likes of Penn State and San Jose State in non-conference play, that checks out. Do you know what else does? Four of the five teams in the top five in the metric are from the SEC.

The seemingly annual announcement that the fall’s upcoming Auburn football schedule will be at the top of the list (or damn near it) seemed to be met with a desensitized fanbase on the bird app.

The attitude in response was largely filled with ‘so what?’, ‘and?’, and ‘what else is new’ vibes from seasoned Auburn football who simply know what they are getting into each and every fall during college football season:

Auburn kicks off the season with four straight home games before alternating home and away games in October. By November, the Tigers will have either started off strong like 2021, or hammered in the final nail of Bryan Harsin’s coffin as head coach.
