Auburn football fans react to Bo Nix’s impressive Oregon spring game
Auburn football fans got a taste of what it’s like to see Bo Nix in a different uniform this past Saturday for the first time since winning the Tigers’ starting quarterback position as a freshman in 2019.
The new Oregon QB dazzled in the Ducks’ spring game, connecting on a 70-yard toss to Seven McGee on his first throw and amassing three touchdowns and an interception on 8-for-15 passing. In total, Nix collected 230 all-purpose yards, with two 70-yard throws, the second being to Dont’e Thornton.
Auburn football fans know the ups (2019 Iron Bowl, 2021 Arkansas/LSU/Ole Miss games) and the downs of the Bo Nix experience better than anyone, and shared their expertise on the subject on Twitter to uninitiated Ducks fans.
Here were some of the best Tiger fan reactions from Saturday:
The Auburn football-Bo Nix ‘dark horse’ meme coming true in Oregon would be a nightmare
Fly War Eagle wants so badly to see Bo Nix succeed under a new offense. He certainly looked focus, and given his postgame comments about the Autzen Stadium crowd (“the atmosphere was fun) we wouldn’t be shocked if he was…wait a second…
The ‘dark horse’ meme coming true for his former OC Danny Lanning on the west coast would be a level of heartbreak Auburn football fans think they may be ready for, but know deep down they can’t handle.
