Former Auburn football QB Bo Nix likes his new home in Eugene, Oregon, one 2,550 miles from his old home, Pinson, Alabama.

In fact, he’s liking it more than most would have ever projected for a second-generation QB and son of a former Auburn football starting QB (Pat Nix).

Nix commented on the atmosphere in Autzen Stadium following his Oregon spring game debut, and he was nothing but complimentary about where he’ll be playing his home games for the 2022 season.

Perhaps we’re about to come off as the crazy ex that sees every tweet and thinks it’s a subtweet, but Nix commenting on the spring game attendance does seem intentional. The Tigers are the only team he’s played for up until this point, so Jordan-Hare Stadium is his frame of reference for spring game attendance.

Of course, nothing is won in the spring, and Nix only had one proper spring game while on the Plains because COVID-19 wiped away the 2020 edition and severely limited attendance capacity in 2021 due to social distancing protocols. In 2019, he showed out as one of the three options in the Auburn football QB room (along with Joey Gatewood and Malik Willis) and did the same in 2022 competing with Jay Butterfield and Ty Thompson.

Whether or not a shot was present–remember, we don’t control Bo Nix’s neurological functions, because if we did, we would have called an audible on fourth and goal during the Penn State game with 3:12 left in the game instead of attempting an end zone fade to Kobe Hudson–Fly War Eagle still hopes to see the Pinson, Alabama kid do great things on the west coast.
