Although spring training has officially come to a close and the Auburn football team is heading into the summer workouts phase, head coach Bryan Harsin knows that his team is not yet at full strength for the 2022 season.

Of course, some players are still battling and recovering from injuries, but there are also those who have not yet made it to campus whether they’re incoming transfers or signees in the class of 2022. While there are certainly holes that will be filled by the freshmen, there are still areas of the roster that could use added depth before the fall rolls around.

Auburn football saw no players leave the team and enter the transfer portal following spring training, but the coaches are certainly taking looks at players that have decided to leave other teams.

However, as far as Bryan Harsin is concerned, the top priority when looking to bring in guys is still finding a guy that is the right fit for the system, per Auburn Undercover:

"“It’s really best available guys. We have needs on the D-line, we have needs at other positions. We know that. I think you can guys can look at the depth chart and say, ‘This is what you need.’ But I want to be clear: There are needs, but we still want to bring in the right people. That’s the most important thing right now. I think where our team is at. As far along as we’ve come since January in the leadership piece, the chemistry, the cohesion, all that — you want to bring in the right people. So that might be the right people at another position.”"

Harsin went on to talk about how important it is to bring in athletes that not only fit into the program, but are dedicated to continuing to build up the program for the future.
