Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin woke up and chose violence on Friday morning with the simple share of an image.

In response to a Pro Football Focus post asking college football fans who they thought of at the sight of an Oklahoma Sooners helmet, Harsin tweeted out a photo of Boise State RB Ian Johnson scoring the game-winning two-point conversion (on a Statue of Liberty variation of all plays) in OT of the 2007 Fiesta Bowl against OU.

Johnson proposed to his girlfriend, a Boise State cheerleader, afterward to clinch a magical moment in college football lore. 2006/2007 Bowl Season is a consensus top bowl season, and the Broncos beating Oklahoma in the fashion they did is a big reason why.

Here was the virtual crime committed by the Auburn football HC:

Tiger fans predictably loved the social media blood sport:

Auburn football HC Bryan Harsin can give Tiger fans a hell of a lot to meme about in 2022

Did you see the path of destruction that Auburn basketball fans left behind in 2021-22 when Bruce Pearl’s Tigers were destroying SEC competition? Things got so out of hand that teams Murray State and even St. Peters played felt the social media meme blitz after losses.

Keep in mind when reminiscing about that AU hoops squad, though: those Tigers had several 5-star recruits. Auburn football lost two in Bo Nix and Demetris Robertson. Owen Pappoe is the lone 5-star standing.

Any upsets of teams like Texas A&M, LSU, or (somehow) Alabama and Georgia would be the impetus’s to some of the greatest deep-fried content the Twitterverse has ever seen.

Give the Famblee(TM) a reason to roll the trees, and give ’em a reason to unleash the memes, Mr. Harsin.
