Auburn football owns a rich history due to legendary names like Pat Dye, Pat Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, and Cam Newton.

It’s also due to the Auburn family and the beautiful communal activities the fanbase and team collectively partake in ahead of, during, and after games.

Nothing beats a Tiger tailgate, highlighted by the famous ‘Tiger Walk’ down South Donahue Drive. When it comes to the game itself, the stadium joins in a surreal ceremony from the south end zone as a real live eagle flies to the giant ‘AU’ at the 50-yard line. Once it’s over, if the home team won, the celebration apexes with the rolling of the trees at Toomer’s Corner.

Big Game Boomer commemorated this glorious college football town with three entries in the top 25 of his ‘Top 75 Best Traditions In College Football’ list:

Auburn football is a unique experience whether the team wins or not

While Alabama has ‘The Walk of Champions’, earned by, well, winning championships, it’s accepted that if the Crimson Tide aren’t good, the ‘Bammer fanbase doesn’t show up to support their team in the same way Auburn’s does, through thick and through thin.

It’s been a few very thin years since the COVID-19 pandemic began on the Plains, but even during the height of the 2021 season, the ‘Famblee’ was electric. The troves of Tiger fans that made their way to the Bayou to witness AU end its losing streak against LSU in Death Valley, and those that journeyed north to get robbed up in Happy Valley against Penn State this past September are proof.
