Former Auburn football HC Gus Malzahn has the sort of dry humor dad jokes that makes one chuckle in passing at pressers, although he isn’t known to be the most charismatic coach in such a setting.

Still, Malzahn has his moments, and he shared one that drew laughs from all the parties that weren’t directly affected. His long-time foe Alabama Crimson Tide HC Nick Saban, however, is one of the least likely humans on the planet to laugh at his latest tweet.

Malzahn subtly acknowledged the firestorm started when Saban accused both Texas A&M Aggies HC Jimbo Fisher and Jackson State Tigers HC Deion Sanders of buying players this offseason with the added kicker that he had never done the same himself.

Auburn football fans loved the cameo from the former SEC-turned-UCF head coach:

Auburn football isn’t at the center of the NIL discussion, and that is a problem

Texas A&M is out here causing chaos on the recruiting trail with their meteoric rise and reoccurring victories over Alabama and Georgia in that realm this offseason, and Jackson State has been the ultimate recruiting disruptor under ‘Prime Time’ Sanders.

Nowhere to be found in Nick Saban’s comments are the Auburn Tigers, and they’ve actually won an FBS National Championship this century.

Once that changes, AU will be at the level of relevancy this program belongs.
