FS1 Undisputed host Shannon Sharpe prefers Georgia’s Herschel Walker to Auburn football Bo Jackson.
On the football field, only.
The two SEC superstars back in the 1980s both went on to be multi-sport athletes, with Jackson becoming an MLB All-Star and an NFL Pro Bowler, while Walker went on to make two Pro Bowls and knocked out two fighters for the now-defunct Strikeforce MMA promotion in the first round both times. Walker is currently running for a senate seat in Georgia, while Jackson could be seen biking ‘Bama for charity.
In response to ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, Sharpe said Walker was the best college football player in his prime, particularly as a true freshman:
Nah, Herschel was the best player in college football as a true freshman. He’s crazy AF now, but top dawg was it. https://t.co/2aaev3cP1E

While Sharpe won’t concede Walker being a better overall athlete than the Auburn football 1985 Heisman trophy winner, but he would take the Bulldogs bulldozer as his RB choice:
Y’all better google Herschel. Not the athlete Bo was.. 🏈 player absolutely https://t.co/3C87nwwJPI

Sharpe made sure to make the distinction that he doesn’t support Walker’s political views:
What he was as a player who is as person. Should be judge differently https://t.co/oPqjQZRDBy

Herschel Walker’s views could cause historians to view Auburn football RB Bo Jackson as better
Herschel Walker’s controversial senate campaign in Georgia has produced a lot of notable headlines.
NEW: Herschel Walker just said he wants to force victims of rape and incest to give birth. He said “there’s no exception” allowed because he believes in “life.” Walker is accused by his ex-wife of holding a gun to her head and razor to her throat while threatening to shoot her.

That may eventually cause historians to publish media pushing Bo Jackson as the better football player, something Shannon Sharpe is still not willing to concede at this point despite some of the things we’re hearing out of Walker.
The stats and performances speak for themselves, but Walker is doing himself no favors with some of his campaign soundbites.
