Auburn football catastrophic result to avoid No. 2: Losing to Missouri

Speaking of SEC teams the world is bearish on, Missouri is another pack of Tigers that the world does not feel the Chinese New Year was talking about.

Mizzou is unsettled at the most important position in sports, perhaps even more so than Auburn football is. The Auburn Tigers at least have Alabama-slayer Zach Calzada on the mend and seemingly in the lead to be QB1 this coming fall. Not to mention, Robby Ashford showed promise during A-Day, and T.J. Finley has a lot natural advantages, via a tight end’s frame, to be great at the position.

Rock M Nation’s Brandon Kiley worries about how Missouri will fare under center this upcoming season, and believes the option could be the only thing that can save those Tigers in 2022:

"Drinkwitz needs to get this right, and he knows it. A coach known as a bright offensive mind is going to succeed or fail based on how his offense performs. The recruiting has leveled up, and fan optimism seems to be following suit. But none of that matters if the Tigers don’t have an answer at the most important position in sports. The Jayden Daniels saga is over, but the chase for a quarterback very much is not. Cook and Macon will make their case in spring ball. We’ll see if it’s enough to convince Drinkwitz he doesn’t need to add another quarterback this summer."

What makes the first of two clashes with SEC East schools–the other, of course, being a date in Athens for the first road game of the year in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry October 8th–a must-win is the fact the trap game vibes preceding LSU and following up the Penn State matchup.
