Auburn Game Tonight: Auburn vs Southeastern Louisiana Odds, Prediction, and TV Channel for College Baseball June 3rd
In their first game of the NCAA Regional Round of the 2022 College World Series, Auburn baseball hosts Southeastern Louisiana of the Southland Conference at Plainsman Park on Friday night. Florida State and UCLA will be kicking off the CWS Auburn Regional Friday afternoon.
The Tigers lost their only game in the SEC Tournament in Hoover against Kentucky, who had defeated them in their final series of the season in Lexington the week prior. In their SEC Tournament matchup, Auburn tied the score in the bottom of the eighth inning home run from Sonny DiChiara, but gave up two runs in the top of the ninth to cede the lead for good.
AU will trot out Trace Bright as their starter on the Auburn Regional’s first night of action hoping for stability on the mound. Bright is 3-4 with a 4.63 ERA in 2022, owning a 74:33 K: BB ratio in 15 appearances this season.
Can the Tigers knock off a mid-major conference champion in the opening round of the College World Series, or will the 2021-22 school-year end with Auburn falling short once more?
Fly War Eagle has the odds for Auburn-Southeastern Louisiana while laying down a prediction for the Friday night matchup at Plainsman Park:
Auburn baseball vs Southeastern Louisiana Line
Auburn is a heavy -400 favorite while Southeastern Louisiana’s moneyline is +280.
Auburn vs. Southeastern Louisiana prediction
The Tigers went 21-6 during the regular season in non-conference play, dropping a few shockers to the likes of Jacksonville State, Yale, and Middle Tennessee, even losing their series to the Blue Raiders at home.
Still, Auburn baseball badly needs a victory, and should be able to deliver one in advance of what should be tough matchups against the likes of UCLA and Florida State this weekend. If AU doesn’t advance past the Regional round, it won’t be for losing to SLU.
