Auburn football WR Koy Moore

Tiger fans were giddy seeing Koy Moore hit the ‘Griddy’ in AU’s famed ‘stormtrooper’ uniforms late Saturday night, marking his transfer to the Plains official via his Twitter:

Moore is like Worsham, in that he’s not been a featured piece at a Power Five program. The former was an LSU Tiger the past two years, though he had a more pronounced role on the Bayou than Worsham had in Miami.

According to 247Sports’ Christian Clemente, the Tigers closed the deal because of Trovon Reed and Ike Hilliard’s Louisiana connections:

"“Auburn brought Moore in for an official visit on Friday, and before he could even leave campus Auburn has a commitment from him. Louisiana natives wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard and director of football and player relations Trovon Reed were both crucial in helping land Moore, a Kenner, Louisiana, native. Moore had interest from several Big 12 schools, including Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, but opted for Auburn. Out of high school Moore was a 4-star in the 247Sports Composite and the No. 299 overall player.”"

Moore, unlike Worsham, has had in-game experience. A six-catch, 63-yard game in a win against Ole Miss last season served as his breakout. If T.J. Finley is named the starter, their chemistry is one that could immediately translate well. Even if it’s Zach Calzada or Robby Ashford throwing the ball to Moore, this move could be one that benefits the SEC receiver.
