Auburn football fans are in full support of an NFL return for Sal Cannella after he was named to the All-USFL Team on Thursday.
Cannella has had stints in the NFL with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins but has yet to see any in-game action. After dominating in the USFL, the New Orleans Breakers’ star could parlay the good press from the most successful spring league attempted in the past several years.
Throughout nine games, Cannella has collected 364 REC yards on 32 catches to go with two touchdowns for the 6-3 Breakers.
NFL fans want to see the third time be the charm for former Auburn football and All-USFL TE Sal Cannella
San Cannella hasn’t stuck in the NFL, but perhaps he will have a higher prioritized seat at the table in whatever offense he lands in next.
This San Francisco 49ers fan would love to see Cannella come to his squad and back up top TE George Kittle:
Need to see Davin Bellamy work with Kris Kocurek and get him to develop with Nick Bosa. Kocurek will get this man paid just like Hyder and Key 🐐

Maybe Sal Cannella backing up George Kittle, too 👀 https://t.co/RSHg5dmYWq
Meanwhile, this fan listed Cannella amongst a group he hopes to see the NFL take a hard look at this summer:
Looking forward to seeing Sal Cannella, Reggie Corbin, Cole Murphy, and Evan Rodriguez in the NFL this July/August https://t.co/yjZ0E8Owjv

War Eagle and congratulations to Sal Cannella for his All-USFL honors!
