Auburn Game Today: Auburn vs Stanford Odds, Prediction for College Baseball June 20th
Auburn baseball fights for its 2022 season on Monday afternoon in Omaha for their second 2022 College World Series matchup against Stanford. On Saturday night, the Tigers fell to Ole Miss 5-1 as Rebels ace Dylan DeLucia dominated the AU lineup for 7.2 innings.
DeLucia struck out 10 Tigers while ceding a single earned run and four hits. Most impressively, DeLucia didn’t give up a single walk.
Auburn baseball HC Butch Thompson was not happy about his team’s showing, which followed meager outings in Games 2 and 3 of the Super Regionals Round against Oregon State and shared as much to the press:
"“That’s three games in a row where we just haven’t (hit). We won the third game of the Super Regional with three hits. It’s the third game in a row where we just couldn’t get a leadoff man on to ever create an inning.”"
Now, the Tigers face elimination against a Stanford squad whose own momentum was slowed considerably ending up on the wrong side of a 17-2 destruction at the hands of the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Hogs had 21 hits, a College World Series record.
Quinn Mathews (9-1, 2.62 ERA), a six-foot-four left-hander who appeared in 26 games for the Cardinal in the regular season–a varied slate of appearances that included nine starts, nine wins and nine saves over 96 1/3 innings of work–is the arm in the way of AU’s title hopes. Thompson has not yet named a starter as of this writing.
Can the Tigers keep their title hopes alive, or will the 2022 Auburn baseball season conclude on Monday afternoon Charles Schwab Field Omaha?

Auburn vs Stanford prediction
We were expecting the AU bats to awaken against Ole Miss, but Dylan DeLucia had different plans. Given the beatdown both of these teams received in their College World Series opener, we’re once again backing a laser show from these two teams.
