Auburn football makes 4-star QB Brock Glenn’s top 5
Ever since head coach Bryan Harsin’s recruiting abilities were doubted during his first year on the Plains, the Auburn football coaching staff has ramped up their recruiting for the class of 2023. Top targets from all over the state and even the country have been on campus, and the Tigers even seem to be a threat to flip several top prospects from other big programs.
While the top priorities in the class of 2023 have been adding depth to the offensive and defensive lines and adding talent to the wide receivers group, the Tigers have also been pursuing one of the top quarterbacks for a while now, and their work is paying off.
4-star quarterback Brock Glenn has named his top five schools in a list that includes Auburn football, Mississippi State, TCU, Florida State, and Ohio State. While Glenn has strong ties to Auburn–his legal name is Auburn Brock Glenn–the young QB insists that it will ultimately not affect his decision, per On3 Sports:
"“When they first offered, we sat down as a family and said we’re taking my name, family history, out of it,” Glenn said. “Because really it means nothing. I’m choosing a school based off what’s most important for me and what I value most in a program and a coaching staff and stuff like that.”"
The main competition for the Tigers when it comes to Glenn, who is ranked as the #356 overall prospect and the #18 quarterback in the recruiting class of 2023 and is the #9 recruit out of the state of Tennessee, will come from Ohio State. Although the Buckeyes joined Glenn’s recruitment relatively late, he officially visited campus over the past weekend and loved it.
As for his final decision, Glenn originally planned to commit before heading to Los Angeles to play in the Elite 11 finals next week, but will likely announce his decision at the beginning of July. Glenn will evaluate all his options before committing, but the Tigers are currently in a good spot.
