Auburn football fans watched the ACC’s revamped schedule release for the 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 seasons closely on Tuesday, being that it was both the last conference to win the College Football Playoff and the only besides the SEC with two champions (both Clemson) since the new college football postseason structure debuted in January 2015.
While the SEC has long operated independently of other leagues–taking part in no ‘Alliance‘ like the one made between the ACC, Big Ten, and Pac-12 last year–the conference does love its profits.
If those in Birmingham see that the money is in this new system, which features each school having three annual primary opponents and 10 other league teams playing twice in that four-year cycle, then Greg Sankey and co. will have to strongly consider it.
There were varied reactions from Auburn football fans to the ACC’s schedule on Twitter Tuesday afternoon:
Voice your complaints or complements here. Who got screwed over? I don’t see anybody who did.

No complaints. Looks like college football is going to be fun to watch and it wont be the same boring model that was in place for a long long time.

The Opelika-Auburn News’ Justin Lee then asked Auburn football fans who they’d want to see besides Alabama and Georgia every year, with LSU and (to a lesser extent) Mississippi State being the most common desired opponents:
I’d take either LSU, Florida, or Mississippi St

LSU for the best games. But then we’d have the hardest schedule in the country every year again.

Arky LSU or Florida. Selfishly…Texas. So I could see them play easier every other year

Mississippi State.
