Auburn football fans were compelled to react to a troll tweet from a noted Alabama Twitter personality during the Stallions’ 33-30 USFL championship victory over the Philadelphia Stars on Sunday night claiming that Bo Birmingham RB Scarbrough was the top Bo to ever play in the SEC.

Scarbrough enjoyed a monster performance against the Stars’ defense, lighting Philly up for 135 rushing yards on 13 attempts to go along with a 36-yard touchdown run and a 70-yard yard run that led to a field goal before the end of the first half that put Birmingham up 20-9. That said, all of his damage was done in the first half. At Alabama, Scarbrough ran for 1,512 yards and 20 touchdowns on 267 carries and caught 21 passes for 131 yards while being part of a program that went 41-3 during his time playing for his home-town Tide.

Auburn football fans made sure not to let proud Crimson Tide fans get too ahead of themselves with the Scarbrough love, with some in jest, and some not so:

Auburn football fans celebrated the Birmingham Stallions’ victory

Many Auburn graduates hail from the Birmingham area, so naturally there was plenty of celebration when the city’s new/revitalized professional football team won its first championship ever.

As Fly War Eagle has said before, celebrate responsibly, folks. No need to be rolling Toomer’s Corner for anything but a Tigers win in any sport.
