As we all know, filling in the offensive line has been one of the top priorities for the Auburn football coaching staff in the recruiting cycle for the class of 2023. With only one offensive lineman committed so far in Bradyn Joiner, it’s safe to say the work is far from over.

One of the Tigers’ priority OL targets– 3-star inside offensive lineman Connor Lew— recently announced his commitment date would be August 5, less than two weeks away. Lew is ranked as the #612 overall prospect and the #42 inside offensive lineman in the recruiting class of 2023 and is the #56 recruit out of the state of Georgia.

In addition to setting an announcement date, Lew also named his final four programs: Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, and Miami.

While Lew stated that there is no clear-cut leader among the four and he has taken official visits to all of the finalist schools, it seems that the race will ultimately come down to Auburn football and Georgia.

Auburn Live reports that on Lew’s most recent visit to Auburn, his player host was center Nick Brahms, with whom Lew has a lot in common. Lew’s academic plans for college are to become a pilot, and pro-flight is Brahms’ major. Lew’s top two priorities when choosing a school are player development and a flight program:

"“I’m looking at the pro flight major,” he told AuburnLiveOn3. “For me, education is going to play a big part in this whole process. Because Auburn has that, they definitely stick out. Definitely the pro-flight major is big for me.”"

Though Lew has visited both Auburn and Athens five times each, and Auburn has the pro-flight major Lew is looking for, things still seem to be leaning towards the Dawgs. Here’s hoping that Connor Lew will choose Auburn football over UGA.
