Stefan Krajisnik of the Clarion Ledger made very few friends from the Auburn football fanbase with his Friday afternoon take that the Tigers would start out the season 3-1 but still finish the season with just four wins.
“Auburn football gonna start 3-1 and finish with four wins? Hard to convince me otherwise,” Krajisnik shared on his Twitter timeline.

To be frank, from an engagement perspective, the tweet was a home run. Auburn is a popular target to exaggerate the sky falling for due to Bryan Harsin’s vaccine opinions and the fanbase’s unbridled passion for the program. Considering the 0-5 finish to last season and the 3-5 conference record in 2022, these predictions are to be expected. To an untrained eye, losing many of its top recruits and relying heavily on transfers is a death knell.
Still, the Auburn family ratio’d Krajisnik for being so bearish about the Tigers’ 2022 schedule prospects:
I will literally give you my next paycheck if Auburn wins 4 or less games, dude. Delusional

Your opinion is not meaningful to me. Whatsoever.

Yall keep receipts on all these media predicting gloom and doom. Theyre gonna be useful later.

Auburn football will need a strong start to survive in 2022
Having five straight games at Jordan-Hare Stadium to kick off the 2022 season is massively beneficial for Auburn HC Bryan Harsin, who needs all the momentum he can get after nearly being fired this past February during the infamous offseason inquiry.
If the Tigers struggle with San Jose State and Mizzou at home, good luck when SEC play begins.
