Auburn football Class of 2024 commit Adrian Posse, a 4-star signal-caller back for Columbus High School in Miami, has received high praise from analysts in the wake of his recent pledge to play on the Plains in two years.

Posse is the No. 184 overall recruit in the 2024 class, the No. 13 quarterback, and the No. 34 player in Florida, according to the 247Sports Composite. Considering he had offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida, Miami, LSU, and Texas A&M, Bryan Harsin did a great job of digging in on the recruiting trail and getting his guy for when Zach Calzada and T.J. Finley will be gone — assuming they don’t use their extra COVID-19 season to stick around.

Speaking of Harsin, the fit Posse could have in the Tigers HC’s offense was lauded by Auburn Daily’s Zac Blackerby, who believes Auburn football should be set at quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Blackerby said that a lot of what 6-foot-4, 205-pound quarterback does looks like a Bryan Harsin quarterback:

Auburn football Big Cat Weekend 2022 delivered in every way

Big Cat Weekend 2022 was not just big — it was unfathomably massive considering the lack of recruits the Class of 2023 had going into it. Posse and A’mon Lane, a class of 2024 four-star CB from Moody High School, committed while several notable recruits were also in attendance.

Bo Hughley, a four-star offensive lineman who has been committed to Georgia for several months, Nebraska commit Ashley Williams Jr., a 4-star edge, and four-star Ohio State tight end commit Jelani Thurman were all in attendance.

4-star QB Air Noland, a teammate of Hughley at Langston Hughes High School–who could be eyeing a flip to Auburn football from Georgia if his social media activity is any indication–could still commit to AU despite Posse’s commitment, saying ‘was to go to a school like Auburn, competition is important at the quarterback position.’

Next. What's next for Air Noland. dark
