COMMITTING TODAY: Auburn football CB target JC Hart
Coming from a small program in a small town just down the road from the home of the Auburn football program, class of 2023 cornerback JC Hart did not see his recruitment really pick up until this summer. The Loachapoka native camped on the Plains, and his display of talent was enough to earn an offer from head coach Bryan Harsin and his staff.
Hart is listed at 6’2″ and 175 pounds, and stands out for his striking speed. He is ranked as the #887 overall prospect and the #85 cornerback in the recruiting class of 2023 and is the #33 recruit out of the state of Alabama.
The 3-star dropped his top four schools on August 3, and announced that UCF, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and Auburn would be the finalists when making his official decision today at 5:00 p.m. central time from his high school in Loachapoka:
In addition to visiting the Plains multiple times in June, Hart also made it to campus for Big Cat Weekend at the end of July, where the Auburn football staff turned up the heat on the cornerback after a big recruiting push from UCF earlier that same week, per Auburn Undercover:
"“I love all the coaches at Auburn,” Hart says. “I just like their energy and the type of people they recruit.”"
The 247 Sports Crystal Ball projects JC Hart to end up as an Auburn Tiger, especially considering Hart’s relationship with the coaching staff and the school’s proximity to his home. By the end of the night, it’s likely the Tigers will add their seventh commit to the recruiting class of 2023.
