It’s no secret that the national media is largely down on Auburn football’s prospects of making noise in the SEC West during the 2022 season, but there are some other Twitter accounts that are irresponsible about it.
One Mississippi State fan account fits that description by predicting the Tigers to go 3-9 this fall, falling far short of even the modest six-win projections many talking heads are pegging for Bryan Harsin on the Plains in year two.
Perhaps the most egregious prediction made in this particular instance was going out on quite the limb and calling a massive upset from middle-of-the-pack Mountain West squad San Jose State in Week 2. While the Spartans did beat Bryan Harsin’s Boise State Broncos in 2020 for the Mountain West crown, Harsin did win all three regular-season matchups (all by double-digits) during his time coaching his alma mater in “the Gem State.”
Auburn football fans catching wind of this prediction led to some clowning on this beyond bearish take on how the 2022 slate will unfold for the Tigers (WARNING: NSFW LANGUAGE):
Let’s hope my mans isn’t into sports gambling that’s all I’m gunna say

That's fucking ridiculous.
— Barning Knight (@BarningKnight) August 21, 2022
Damn thats pretty harsh. I don't think Harsin is on the Chad Morris level yet.

Bro needs to delete twitter with a prediction this bad, 3-9 is straight blasphemy.

Auburn football plays Mississippi State in Starkville November 5th
Auburn football has a home-heavy schedule in 2022, but one of their two away games in Mississippi will be in Starkville against the Bulldogs in a critical Week 10 duel. By then, the Tigers will have gone through an October gauntlet of LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Arkansas — the same four from spooky season 2021.
Should Mississippi State go down, there will be some cold take exposing to be done via the retrieval of some unsavory Twitter receipts. In fact, a perfect September would cause the same for the OP:
I'm prepared to eat crow on this one, Auburn fans know I'll gladly take my L if you all get to LSU without a loss.

We’re five days away from football, and 12 away from Auburn football. Tension is clearly rising across social media ahead of a do-or-die campaign for the Harsinal.
