Allen Greene stepped down from the Auburn University Athletic Director role eight days ahead of the Auburn football 2022 opener against Mercer and there could be some tough times ahead for the Tigers.
The Auburn family understands the horrific timing of this move, one that seemingly indicates very little faith in Bryan Harsin from Greene since his contract being renewed this upcoming January likely hinged on a successful season.
Still, that’s something Auburn fans reserve the right to share amongst themselves. If you don’t bleed orange and blue but feel the need to comment on something related to the Plains, you’re better off kicking rocks.
Tennessee AD Danny White, who worked with Greene during their shared time at Buffalo, learned that the hard way when he stuck his nose into business it didn’t belong in and called Auburn a ‘crazy situation’ before wishing Greene well for finding ‘greener pastures.’
Auburn football fans eviscerated the Tennessee AD for Allen Greene tweet
Tiger fans didn’t take those words well from Danny White, eviscerating him with the fury of a thousand suns for speaking when not spoken to:
Oh fuck off. Product of nepotism sitting atop a high horse. Imagine that!
