Auburn football’s recruiting class of 2023 is coming along slowly, but surely, and the offers are still going out to prospects around the country even with the 2022 season fully underway. As the Tigers prepare to host their biggest opponent of the season so far this weekend in Penn State, much effort will also be put into recruiting.

The visitor list for the Penn State game continues to grow, and the Tigers continue to hand out offers to recruits, including those that currently play at Junior Colleges. Over the weekend, Auburn football offensive line coach Will Friend extended an offer to JUCO offensive lineman Keyshawn Blackstock.

A native of Covington, Georgia, Blackstock earned his Auburn offer after several weeks of talking with the coaching staff, securing his first Power 5 offer. While Blackstock most certainly plans to visit the Plains, it will have to be in December following his football season at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas, and then he will make a final decision.

While Coach Friend and the Auburn football staff are recruiting Blackstock to play offensive tackle, he insists that he can play all over the offensive line and would be just as much of an asset to the Tigers should they move him to center or guard, per Auburn Undercover:

"“I can play all over so it wouldn’t matter if they moved me around,” Blackstock said. “That’s the biggest thing, I’m going to adapt to my habitat so it don’t matter where they move me. They move me to center or guard, I’m going to still be me and give everything I’ve got. That’s just the player I am.”"

The Tigers are expected to have quite a few losses on the offensive line after this season, so recruiting that position is vital. Blackstock will graduate in December and have two seasons of eligibility left at his next school.
