After witnessing Auburn football’s week four matchup against Missouri, it’s clear that head coach Bryan Harsin’s days are numbered on the Plains if something drastic doesn’t happen. Harsin led the Tigers to an embarrassing loss against Penn State before what may be an even more embarrassing win in the SEC opener last weekend.

The team is clearly not showing improvement, the quarterback situation is a mess, and the offensive line doesn’t know what it’s doing at all. Missouri was, by far, the least dominant team that the Tigers will face throughout the rest of the SEC gauntlet, and they did not have a good showing at all.

At this rate, it seems clear to everyone that soon, the Auburn football program will have a new head coach, and a lot of people are hoping that it will be current Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders. Fans are hyped up by the prospect of Coach Prime coming to the Plains, but it isn’t only fans; Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt believes it could actually happen:

Klatt made the statement without knowing if it had been talked about by locals–if he only knew. His reasoning behind his belief that Sanders could go to Auburn? The fact that if the program is ever going to get back to where it needs to be, the Tigers will have to win some recruiting battles, and he credited Coach Sanders for his recruiting abilities.

Ever since the Penn State loss, there has been talk about who will replace Bryan Harsin, and the Deion Sanders faction got even more gusto over the weekend when it was revealed that Sanders may have taken a flight into Auburn. For now, the Tigers are still riding with Bryan Harsin, but for how much longer, we don’t know.
