The Auburn football team returns to action this weekend and will host the Arkansas Razorbacks on the Plains for an 11:00 a.m. matchup in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Tigers’ coaching staff is coming off of an eventful bye week that they used to travel around the country to recruit.

With the return of football to the Plains, recruits will once again have the opportunity to visit and experience the unique game day atmosphere and get a closer look at the program. One recruit visiting this weekend has become a top priority for the Auburn coaches in 3-star cornerback Tyler Scott.

Ranked as the #95 safety and the #106 recruit out of the state of Georgia, Scott was originally committed to Arkansas State before his recruitment stock soared and offers from major programs across the country came pouring in.

So far, the cornerback has visited Louisville (this past weekend), Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Alabama, and he plans to visit Gus Malzahn’s UCF in December. He was most recently on the Plains for the Tigers’ matchup with the Penn State Nittany Lions, and liked it enough to plan for an official visit this upcoming weekend.

According to Auburn Live’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, Auburn football is the favorite to land Tyler Scott with a 54.3 percent chance, which fell from nearly 95 percent two weeks ago. Meanwhile, the 247 Sports Crystal Ball has named Tennessee as the leader in Scott’s recruitment. Another program to watch is Alabama, who is close behind the Vols for the cornerback.

3-star cornerback Tyler Scott’s visit to the Plains this weekend could be vital to the Tigers’ securing his commitment later on down the road, and pulling off a win over the Razorbacks could do a lot to swing Scott back towards Auburn football again and put them in position to land the young recruit.
